Oh.my.goodness. It has been FOREVER since I’ve blogged! I’ve missed it (as I am sure you have too). There is something about rambling on about random parts of my life that is therapeutic. So back to therapy…
I need to detox, as in do a physical detox. What has brought on this thinking, you might ask? Well, today has been one of those days where I am especially disgusted with my post-baby flab, feel tired and crappy from eating junk, and hate my face because of acne that is worse than when I was in high school. These types of days are taking place way too frequently. So today I started to get real with myself. Sad reality: nothing magical is going to happen to make any of these things change. All of these problems are directly linked to food and exercise – both of which areas that I suck at right now (if I’m being honest). I eat well at meal times, but I cushion those good meals with an unreal amount of junky snacks and SUGAR (pastries, please… mmmm). And I’m not exactly a couch potato either. For those of you who know me, you know I’m busy, busy, busy all the time, but time spent exercising? Uh, very little – it’s kind of embarrassing how little actually. SO, these things have got to change. Big time.
There is a fitness blog I’ve been following for a while (blogilates.com). I like her because she promotes clean eating (no processed food) and exercise as a lifestyle. Not a diet. Not a “get skinny” plan. She has great workouts on YouTube and recipes and the such on her site. But most of all, she provides amazing support so people can be successful in making healthy changes. Today, after deciding to take myself seriously about this, I went to her site and found a “90 Day Challenge” that includes a food plan and workouts! I printed out the food plan and the October workout plan (there will be one out soon for November, yay) and stuck them on my fridge. Then I made a grocery list and before getting my boys I headed to the store (I’m not wasting any time on this!).
I am very excited to start with my clean eating and exercise tomorrow! That being said, there are some things I am planning on giving myself some wiggle room on… When I have coffee, it will have creamer.
My yogurt will be vanilla, and I’m not sure about the whole cottage cheese thing, but I’ll give it a try! I know I will be happier not just with the end result, but even while I am on the journey. I’ll be making good choices every day for my body. I’ll look better, feel better, and have more energy. I hope this 90 day thing helps me to enforce better all around eating and exercise habits. I’ll be blogging on here from time to time to give updates on how it’s going and if I’ve noticed any differences in my problem areas. I’m really hopeful about the results and am happy I’ve finally taken this first step!

How fun!!! I can’t wait to hear updates on how you feel!
Thanks! I can’t wait to see some results… haha!
